A simple recipe for moist banana bread that is also packed with toasted walnuts, raisins, and bananas. His loaf is both a lovely and delectable holiday present idea and keeps moist for days. Over fruit cake, banana bread is always my preference.
You can serve your favorite beverage with this recipe for banana loaf for mid-morning coffee or afternoon tea. Use your overripe bananas in this wonderful way.
1. Ingredients
- Butter: For a tender texture and delectable butter taste, use softened butter.
- Brown Sugar: This recipe calls for only brown sugar. I mention that using brown sugar results in soft, moist cookies in the recipe’s headnotes for chocolate chip cookies. Brown sugar does the same magic in banana bread too, though. A nice flavor is also added.
- Eggs: The stability and structure of cakes, cupcakes, breads, doughs, and cookies are provided by eggs, along with a soft texture. 2 big eggs are required for this.
- Yogurt or Sour Cream: Using yogurt or sour cream increases the moistness of the banana bread. In the majority of baking recipes, the 2 can be used interchangeably.
2. Progress
- Step 1: Heat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/gas. 4.
- Step 2: Involves buttering and lining a 2 lb loaf pan with parchment paper on the bottom and edges.
- Step 3: Beat 140 grams of softened butter and 140 grams of caster sugar until they are light and fluffy. Then add 2 beaten big eggs and a little of the 140 grams of flour gently.
- Step 4: 1 teaspoon baking powder, 2 mashed bananas, and the remaining flour are all folded in.
- Step 5: Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and bake for 50 minutes, or until well heated through. After baking for around 30 to 40 minutes, test the loaf with a skewer every five minutes. It should be neatly able to be inserted and removed. Since the amount of time may change depending on the form of your loaf pan.
- Step 6: Transfer to a wire rack to cool in the tin for 10 minutes.
- Step 7: To produce a runny icing, combine 50g of icing sugar with a few teaspoons of water.
- Step 8: Spread the frosting over the cake’s top and add some banana chips for a finishing touch.

The simplest banana bread recipe is this one. We use a stand mixer to mix it since it’s convenient, but you may also use an electric hand mixer or a hand whisk to get the same results. There is no need for expensive equipment. I hope you enjoy creating this meal!
